Hey, Joe, you wanna ship in some snow? Voulez vous coucher...

I digress...

So... I don't think snow had to be shipped in to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. I know there was the possibility, but I don't think it actually happened.  On the other hand, snow was shipped over to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. 'Member that?  Yep.

Okay, so what I'm thinkin' now is, isn't there some brilliant engineer out there somewhere who can figure out a way to scoop up all the huge ice chunks being created by the Coast Guard's ice breaking ships (on the Great Lakes, the Hudson River, etc) - and deliver them to all parts of Cali in need of water? I mean, can't that happen?

Can't it happen where the ice chunks are gathered, transported and perhaps melted during transport or once it arrives in California. Then it gets stored somewhere (I'm not the engineer, so I don't have all the answers!) but it gets released when needed? Am I thinking too small? Would that just end up being a tiny, tiny amount of the water that's needed and therefore be too costly to do? Somebody?

Okay, well, um... how about this theory for California... Cloud Seeding.  Not making it up.

Zimmerman - and (some of) my issues with his trial... or with his claims

I TOTALLY COPIED this comment from another website - to which I am NOT giving credit because there is a LOT of hate on it, quite frankly, but this was one of the well thought out comments: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "His (Zimmerman's) wounds are small and the blood isn't flowing down the back of his head. It's trickling in indivdual rivulets, toward his left ear, and the right side of his head. It appears as though he's bent over for the photo to be taken. A glimpse of Trayvon's gray sweatshirt and possibly his hand is in the upper right corner. If these wounds were made by pavement, they wouldn't be so neat and sharp (and only two, with the pounding his allegedly received?) The blood would have flowed down the back of his head when he stood up. He claims he was trying to get to the grass while Trayvon was on top of him, hence the grass and dampness on his coat. He never put his head on the ground? Where's the dirt and grass that should be stuck to the blood? Most people when injured try to feel the injuries. The blood isn't smudged or smeared. He jumps up from being beaten nearly unconscious and has someone take photos of the back of his head? Who is this person? He claims to have seen powder burns on Trayvon's sweatshirt. How is that possible when he was shot in the chest and found face down? Did this person hit Zimmerman in the head and help him turn the body over?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

TD Jakth thed I'm creative*, tho...

I just realized I'm almost at the end of my work week. I'm taking off early on my "Friday". (I put quotes around "Friday" to signal that I do not have the traditional M-F work week.) But anyway, I have a tremendous amount of glee knowing that I'll be away from work soon. However, on the morning of the day before I go back to work, my mood will change, as I will already have begun to think about my return to work.

So, aside from my job being one of the most miserable places on the planet to be, I would have to say that, in America, one of the most miserable places to be is in the lobby of your local cable company.  You know why, and I know you agree, so I’m done with that thought.

Sometimes I think I have ADD.  I have laughed about this with a friend of mine.  We don’t stay interested in things for long.  Or… we forget things. I don’t remember which it was, and I don’t care. Next topic!

I bite my fingernails.  Not so badly that my nails look horrific, but… I bite them.  I can control the urge for a couple days; long enough to let nails grow long enough to bite again.  I don’t polish my nails.  I mean, I just said, I bite them!

Do you fight sleep?  I do. I see daytime sleep as a sign of weakness. It’s probably a sign of weakness to think that.  Sleeping at night is when we’re supposed to sleep, so to get sleepy in the day, to me, means I would look weak if I fell asleep.  I know, you are now thinking I should seek counseling. Whatever.

* Now regarding TD Jakes' claim that I am creative, he actually said we are all creative. I heard him say this on Oprah's "Super Soul Sunday". Okay, so... creative I am! Creative you are!

Change...

...and I don't mean the monetary kind of change, I mean the kind where something is one way, one moment; one day, and another way the next moment or the next day. I guess I would have to say that, generally speaking, I am not keen on change when it happens without my input. Like, if I am using a service, say... this blog page, and they just up and say "hey, a change is coming!" I don't like that.

It seems hardly democratic to *make* me change the way this blog page looks. I *like* this blog page and don't feel like changing it, but, in order to continue to use it, I *have* to change it at some point in the very near future. I know this because, each time I log in, there is a notice telling me so.

Anyway, it's a minor issue, Just Sayin'... I'm not happy to have to make the change. Better be some good choices from which to pick!
