Zimmerman - and (some of) my issues with his trial... or with his claims

I TOTALLY COPIED this comment from another website - to which I am NOT giving credit because there is a LOT of hate on it, quite frankly, but this was one of the well thought out comments: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "His (Zimmerman's) wounds are small and the blood isn't flowing down the back of his head. It's trickling in indivdual rivulets, toward his left ear, and the right side of his head. It appears as though he's bent over for the photo to be taken. A glimpse of Trayvon's gray sweatshirt and possibly his hand is in the upper right corner. If these wounds were made by pavement, they wouldn't be so neat and sharp (and only two, with the pounding his allegedly received?) The blood would have flowed down the back of his head when he stood up. He claims he was trying to get to the grass while Trayvon was on top of him, hence the grass and dampness on his coat. He never put his head on the ground? Where's the dirt and grass that should be stuck to the blood? Most people when injured try to feel the injuries. The blood isn't smudged or smeared. He jumps up from being beaten nearly unconscious and has someone take photos of the back of his head? Who is this person? He claims to have seen powder burns on Trayvon's sweatshirt. How is that possible when he was shot in the chest and found face down? Did this person hit Zimmerman in the head and help him turn the body over?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Zimmerman - and (some of) my issues with his trial... or with his claims

Uh huh... so there's a guy on the stand now explaining MMA style fighting (mixed martial arts). He is a defense witness, and he's kinda sorta like an "expert" in MMA fighting. One of Georgie's friends/witnesses, you see, was the first to mention MMA style fighting (at least he was the first person I ever heard mention it). He (the earlier witness) claimed Trayvon Martin was on top of Zimmerman and doing an MMA style "ground and pound" on Zimmerman. I got a problem with that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My problem is, the defense is suggesting that Zimmerman is actually the one who has knowledge of MMA fighting. So... how is it that he could not find a way to FIGHT BACK -- with his damn fists, feet (and shrewd brain power) if, indeed, Trayvon Martin started punching him?!? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And I'm thinking... guys... dudes... they FIGHT. I have asked a lot of the males I know if, 1, they've ever been in a fight, 2, did they FIGHT BACK, and 3, during the fight, did they REALLY ever feel like their life was in jeopardy... or... did they just basically feel like they were going to beat up the opponent. They all pretty much said they just felt like they were going to end the FIGHT with a FIGHT, not with a DAMN GUN being shot! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just sayin'... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Zimmerman - and (some of) my issues with his trial... or with his claims

Hey "yawl" (as our beloved Paula Deen likes to say), here are some of my issues with what I'm hearing in the Zimmerman trial... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today is Monday. July 8, 2013. I'm watching this Zimmerman trial - the one with a guy named George Zimmerman, who's on trial for second degree murder in the shooting death of a young (17 years old) male, Trayvon Martin. Today is the defense's turn (George Zimmerman's side) to put their case, their "evidence" before the jury. So, you got all that? Okay. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So... the folks on the stand, so far, are long time FRIENDS of George Zimmerman. They each are swearing and testifying they KNOW George's voice. One woman even called him "Georgie". So endearing. Yes, yes, yes. And, she's SO friendly with him that she knows it's his voice screaming for help. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Except... she (or his other friends) DIDN'T know it was "Georgie's" voice when they each were on the phone calling 911 and reporting "someone" is screaming. Not ONE of them called the police and said something like "Oh my God! My FRIEND George Zimmerman is yelling for help! Please send the police!" They each were asked questions by the police to describe who it was who might have been calling for help, and not ONE of them said it was "Georgie". They ALL referred to the screamer as "someone". I got a problem with that... because... a really good friend shouldn't need the George Zimmerman trial to prompt them to realize - with absolute positivity - that, oh, wow, that's their friend screaming for dear life. If they know their friend's voice with absolute positivity, then I'm thinking that, in their 911 call(s), their asses should have been reporting to the police that GEORGE ZIMMERMAN was being attacked and calling for help! Just sayin'... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
